Genetically a women can get cancers if anyone of their family members have cancers. There is more probability for a men/women if he/she has BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. BRCA1 and BRCA2 are commonly referred as tumor suppressors. If these genes are normal they will prevent uncontrolled growth of cancerous cells if they aren't then Possibilities of getting cancer is very high.Women who have inherited a harmful mutation in their BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes is five times more likely than the average woman (without mutations) to develop breast cancer.
